  1. MiniWAV  v1.2 - 32-bit WAV player for Windows 95 & NT

  4. Description:
  5. ------------------
  6. Adds three small audio control buttons (play, stop, rewind) 
  7. and three application control buttons (mode, minimize, 
  8. exit) to the Windows desktop. 
  9.  
  10. If selected, displays a progress slider below the buttons.
  11.  
  12. Starts playback of a wave file if the name of the file is given as 
  13. a command line argument. 
  14.  
  15. If no file name is given as a command line argument, a file open 
  16. dialog is displayed.
  17.  
  18. Floats on top of other windows on the desktop, is movable.  
  19.  
  20. Can save files (use the pop up menu activated by pressing the right mouse
  21. button above the button bar), and load files. 
  22.  
  23. Very useful with a web browser, and as an associated viewer in Windows
  24. Explorer.

  26. Installation:
  27. -------------
  28. Copy the file ctl3d32.dll to your Windows\system32 (WinNT) or \Windows\system (Win95)
  29. directory and the file miniwav.exe to the directory of your choice. Create a new 
  30. program item for MiniWAV.exe into one of the groups in Program Manager (e.g. multimedia).

  33. Registered vs. unregistered
  34. ---------------------------
  35. - The registered version uses an INI file to save the location
  36.   of the program window every time the program shuts down. So, the program
  37.   'remembers' it's previous location.
  38. - In the registered version there is an INI file setting that makes the 
  39.   program shut down automatically after playing through a WAV if none of the
  40.   buttons is pressed during the playback.
  41. - A mixer (volume control) application can also be specified in the INI file 
  42.   of the registered version. The mixer is started from the pop up menu.
  43. - Of course, there is no message box appearing at the end
  44.   of the program.
  45. - If you use the program beyond a 30 day trial period, you must register. There
  46.   is more information on registering and registration benefits in the file
  47.   REGISTER.TXT.

  53. - added inifile settings for startup screen mode (movable vs unmovable, slider visible)
